Optical distribution networks (ODNs) refer to the systems that exist between OLTs and ONUs. These are fiber optic networks and typically operate at a maximum range of 20 km. ODN consists of four subsystems: feeder fiber cable, distribution fiber cable, drop fiber cable, and optical fiber terminal.
